RAVING REVIEW: This film does show the events of a mass shooting, a deeply troubling issue that sadly confronts us all too frequently in America. It does not shy away from the harsh truths surrounding this devastating event. Be prepared, for there are moments in this film that are profoundly difficult to watch as it delves into the gravity of its subject matter.

CONDITION OF RETURN delves deeply into the complex character of Eve Sullivan, masterfully portrayed by AnnaLynne McCord, who faces arrest for the shocking act of shooting 13 members of her church. Amidst the investigative led by Dr. Donald Thomas, brought to life by Dean Cain, the film unravels the narrative threads that lead to this tragic event, offering a gripping exploration of the events leading up to this horrible incident.

This gripping film skillfully navigates the intricate web of events that culminated in a very tragic incident and the profound repercussions that ripple through the lives of the characters involved. Through a combination of powerful storytelling and compelling performances, the audience is taken on a compelling journey, exploring the depths of Eve's psyche and the societal factors at play. This film undeniably excels in the realm of character performances, with AnnaLynne McCord's portrayal standing out as nothing short of exceptional. McCord's performance in this particular film can be aptly described as her best performance to date, showcasing her remarkable talent and versatility as an actress.

While this film boasts commendable acting and storytelling, it regrettably falters in the face of significant technical hurdles that noticeably impede the overall viewing experience. At certain moments, the color grading is so noticeably inaccurate that it disrupts the viewer's immersion in the film.

This film intriguingly commences as a drama, and as its narrative unfolds, it gradually veers into the unsettling realm of supernatural horror. This stylistic choice, while undeniably innovative, did, at times, create a noteworthy disruption in my immersion within the film.

Overall, this film presents a challenging viewing experience, primarily due to its unsettling subject matter. It navigates through emotionally charged terrain that can be deeply difficult to grapple with. The film's ambitious attempt to blend elements of drama with a gradual shift towards the supernatural horror genre further challenges the viewing experience.
