A bit of a rollercoaster ride for me; some moments consumed me entirely while others left me longing for more. I was locked into the story. Then there were times when I wasn’t sure where the story was going or if we had gone away from the film's main idea. I was shocked to see how different the movie was from what I expected. It shows you that you can’t judge a movie by its poster!

Ed Harris is the main draw to the film, but I think it’s his co-stars who make the film what it is. They offer such a unique back and forth; the tension seen on screen amplifies everything and makes some moments even more intense. I was waiting for something more to come of the moments, although what was shown is honestly more faithful to real life. It was interesting how certain scenes would be amplified and immediately change course. It honestly reminded me of my life and the conflicts I’ve had.

It’s fascinating that neither director/writer has done much previously. These are basically their only primary entries on their filmographies on IMDb. While this wasn’t my favorite film of the year, I have so much respect for people who can jump into these huge roles and create something cohesive. Some directors with significant experience couldn’t pull something like this off, which says so much about this achievement. Every director has to start somewhere, but usually, it’s not on something of this level.

I would have liked to see some of these scenes play out a little further, and it felt like there were moments where we missed out on aspects essential to the overall story because the story would jump around to something else. This was probably an intentional decision but left me wondering more about the film’s what-ifs.
